HERNE KHABAR: The “Tuborg Sixth National Running Shield Open Double Song Competition-2078” organized by Kathmandu National Folk and Double Song Foundation Nepal has come to a grand conclusion.
The rehearsal song competition started on April 3 and ended on April 4. There was competition between 61 groups in the rehearsal competition.

On the fifth day of the competition (April 20), the final round of the competition was accompanied by performances by famous artists and the contributors and lifetime subscribers were also honored. On the fifth day of the competition, Central Secretary of the Foundation Jeevan Dahal and Central Member of the Foundation PN Sapkota facilitated the program and the closing ceremony was conducted by Central Secretary General Subash KC.

The final round of the “Tuborg Sixth National Running Shield Open Rehearsal Song Competition-2078” held at Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu on April 3 was very enjoyable and the competition was very lively. A total of 12 groups competed in the final round.

The first place winner will receive Rs. 2 lakh 25 thousand in cash, certificate, medal and shield and certificate, second place winner will receive Rs. 150 thousand in cash, certificate, medal and third place winner will receive Rs. One lakh cash, certificate, medal and consolation place winner will get Rs. 10,000 cash, medals and certificates were prescribed.

Jeevan Sigdel and Asmita Dallakoti of Nagarkot Double Evening won the first place in “Tuborg Sixth National Running Shield Open Double Song Competition – 2078”. The award was sponsored by Manu Thapa, a resident of Japan.

Similarly, Shanta Wali and Arjun Khadka of Gambesi Double Evening won second place in the competition. This award was sponsored by Budha Magar, Gauchan Budha Magar.

In the competition, Harimaya Rayamajhi, Rashmi Basnet, Shyam Rana and Sharmila Rayamajhi along with Lumbini Pradesh bagged the third place. The third prize was sponsored by Shirful Dohori Saj.

The Bhadrakali group (Khem Nepali) was selected as the best group in the competition and was honored with a cash prize of Rs 5,000. Similarly, in the disciplined group, Okhaldhunga Foundation was selected with a cash prize of Rs. Dilmaya Bik, a newcomer singer and Kishan Bik, a newcomer from Gandaki Pradesh, were selected with Rs 5,000 and Rs 5,000 cash prizes respectively.

Suman Khadka from Gandaki Pradesh and Puja Pun from Rajdhani Dohori Saj won the Best Singer category. The best singer was honored with 7000/7000 cash prizes. Similarly, the youngest contestant Archana Chapagain from Gandaki was also honored with a cash prize of Rs 7,000. Raju Lamichhane has been honored with a cash prize of Rs 5,000 for being a disciplined artist during the competition.

Central Chairman Ramesh Biji presided over the closing ceremony of “Tuborg Sixth National Running Shield Open Double Song Competition – 2078”. In the closing ceremony, the main sponsors, sponsors, co-sponsors, collaborators, various organizations, media persons, judges and others were honored.
